Prayer:
I once heard a pastor say "Your ministry will not be any greater than your prayer life." Our ministry effort in the world will go only as far as our prayers and YOURS. If you are interested in supporting us in prayer you can also contact us at mailto:akingdomripple@gmail.com. We are asking those interested in praying for us to do so as a family, as well as individuals. Please let us know what burden God has placed on your heart for us or the ministry.
Financial Support:
In Matthew 6:25-34, it reminds us that we should not be anxious. God will provide what we need. We ask that you prayerfully considered how you might be an extension of God's hand to provide us what is needed to live on and push forward the expansion of God's kingdom. Your sacrifice will not be received lightly. The funds that will be raised will not simply provide for our needs, but also the needs of those who are ministered too as well. Your gift is just that, a gift. It is a gift of obedience and sacrifice.as you are led by God or the mission. We will not take your sacrificial gift lightly. It is our goal to live out God's mission, and journey down this path with purpose, passion, integrity, character, transparency, and accountability.
The purpose of this journey, and the unraveling of this God story, is to encourage transformation for all who join this kingdom ripple community whether through general support, prayer, and/or financial contributions.
Our mission is to grow with Christ (sanctification), to listen to the stories of the broken hearted, to share the healing power of the gospel story (reconciliation), advance the kingdom of God, and bring glory and honor to our Sovereign Lord. In short, our mission is to experience God and empower others to do the same (To observe, encounter, and undergo the truth of God).

Encouragement:
To take a step in faith and be obedient to God is to do so with excitement, fear, clarity, and confusion. If you feel led to encourage us through notes, pictures, songs, poems, or in some other way it would be greatly appreciated, especially to for children. This journey comes from God, is acted upon by Carolyn and I, and is lived out by our children. Please do not hesitate to share any form of encouragement with us no matter how small or big you feel it may be. To be the body of Christ is to genuinely love one another (Romans 12:10). Insight into "WHY"
The purpose of our step of obedience is to bring forth and stimulate a vision to encourage sanctification (a ripple effect), to bind the broken hearted and those burdened with the weight sin, and to bring honor and glory to God as his kingdom is advanced.
We love the thought of the ripple effect. You never know where your ripple will end and how God will use it. We love the challenge of how can you and I make daily choices to make an eternal ripple. God commands us therefore do not fix your eyes on what is seen, but on what is unseen, for what is seen is only temporary but what is unseen is eternal.
We believe God will provide what we need as He did for the disciples as they were sent out two by two (Matt. 6). In our case it is seven. For those who may take the time to read through this brief story we would enjoy communicating in case you might be moved to join us on this journey. If you choose to join us you will join a ripple effect consisting of a community of people laying a path, stone by stone, for each other as this journey moves forward. The Riker’s may represent a physical catalyst to the revelation of a God story. However, it is the desire of God, the catalytic event of our obedience, and the willingness of others to use the events of this opportunity to inspire and empower a transformation in the lives of all people who desire to journey with us, and want to walk down a path of their own directed by God.
We represent a small catalytic piece of this ripple effect. People living in Christ and in community with each other have their own path to courageously and faithfully lead down. It takes a village to raise a child, as well as to empower an adult to live in obedience to Christ. Together we will walk down paths as individuals, but will be supported by a community. Each one of us will lay a stone down for the other as we share, challenge, encourage, and live life together no matter how much distance stands between us. We ask that you consider (prayerfully or otherwise) laying a stone which will have a ripple effect not just in our lives, but also the lives of whom choose to serve with us near or far.
To join this community you will experience a community of people who are laying down stones, one by one, for each other. And, you will be a part of the mission of God that will be revealed through the Riker family as well as others who share their God stories all for the purpose of glorifying God and the advancement of His kingdom. The outcome of this journey will advance the kingdom of God to those who are not heard. In addition, this God story will be shared with all who will listen in hopes of further advancing the kingdom and empowering reconciliation and transformation in lives. If you consider joining this God story please keep in mind that we as a family will need not only prayers and financial support, but also words of encouragement, a willingness to follow this story as it is unraveled, and a desire to be transformed.
On a personal level, this step in faith is one of sheer obedience to God and is intertwined with a desire to gain a greater understanding of missions and an intimate understanding of world at a glimpse. God is reaching out to us and unveiling a path that is exciting and full of fraught. This is not simply an adventure but a journey in faith to know God and make Him known. The path before us may lead to a calling into mission full time. It may (and will) inspire a greater understanding of God and the world in which we will bring back to the local church. Or, it may lead us into a specific calling in which we are not ready to see yet. Regardless of the outcome, as the church we are encouraged to love, support, empower, challenge, serve, and intercede in prayer for one another. This journey is not simply ours. This journey is for a community of people to embark on. Whether it be the Riker’s, another family, or individual it is the responsibility of the church to expand the kingdom of God through each other. God lies upon the hearts of many specific desires and callings. It is our job as the body of Christ to pray for discernment, offer support, accountability, challenge, and empowerment. For the Riker’s this decision did not simply come to us, but was encouraged by a community.
